Bits and Pieces

Yesterday, I had the opportunity to visit a weaving and crafts store in Hastings Nebraska after I took my son to a ped dentist.  There was so much to look at!  The kids loved it and found their way back to someone spinning in the far end of the store.  They watched her and asked her questions.  While they were thus occupied, I found some things to buy.  I bought some llama roving... both in medium to dark shades of brown. I bought a spool of cotton and some other yarn to finish weaving my handspun yarn with.  I was amazzed at the softness of the llama fur... and alpaca is supposed to be softer... I wonder how much?
After the weaving store and lunch, we headed to the Stuhr museum for a few hours to see their exhibits especially Railroad town.  The kids loved every moment.  It was hot and humid and the sweat was rolling down us, but it was great.  They have a little millinery shop there.  Now for those of you who do not know what  a millinery store is a hatshop!  They make hats.  So the photographer that I am, I bought one to use as a prop.  Hmmm, now how to use it....  we'll see....
So without further adieu, I will share photos below!
